This is not your regular cooking class. In fact, forget everything you have experienced in the past. Our Headmaster of Culinary Magics will take your kids on an unforgettable journey. They will witness the breathtaking magic of cooking, see a myriad of mesmerising techniques and let their tastebuds run wild. To get the best entertainment we recommend booking groups of up to 10 children.

Our culinary shows usually run for about 2 hours, with preparation and clean up.
Sit Back, Relax & Let Us Bring the Magic
Planning and organising a birthday party or any other event for children can be a daunting task – chasing kids all over the place, trying to get them to participate in activities, doing on-the-spot parenting sessions… And after all that – cleanup.
We can help! Although we do ask for at least one parent to be present, the kids will be so captivated by the show that you can safely relax and enjoy a glass of your favourite wine. Our shows bring the best of both worlds – happy kids and relaxed parents!
About Peter
With 26 years of international cheffing experience behind him, Peter is a fount of culinary knowledge. He has won numerous international cheffing awards including two Silver medals for the 2018 New Zealand National Hospitality Competition and International Kremlin Culinary Cup. Peter has undergone extensive cheffing studies and has trained in some of the world’s best kitchens in New Zealand, France, China and Japan.
Now Peter is excited to pass on his expertise to the new generation of culinary artists. No stranger to tutoring, he spent four years as head chef/tutor for an international hotel management school and organised kids cooking classes at famous culinary studios. Peter brings lots of enthusiasm and fun to his classes and is a true entertainer!

Throughout his 26 year career, Peter took part in a myriad of culinary competitions and championed a lot of them. He is a true master of his craft and uses his knowledge to enchant the audience.
Teacher
Peter loves to teach. Over the years he has honed this art, tutoring at a hospitality school and running kids classes at a number of culinary studios. His fun approach will not leave anyone bored.
Parent
Being a father himself, Peter adores kids and really speaks their language. He knows how to keep them captivated for the entire show. Naturally, kids love him and learn a lot from his classes.

“In May 2020 Peter came and did a cooking class with my family and I as part of a birthday gift for my children. The menu was sushi followed by caramelised apples.
Peter had prepared all the ingredients prior to coming and so when he arrived we set to the task at hand. My children, who were aged from 6 to 14 at the time, all had a great time learning how to make sushi rolls which looked and tasted great.
Peter is a very experienced chef and at all times, was very calm, polite and engaged well with us all, and especially the children. He demonstrated the process and then had the children make their own sushi rolls. The apples were fun to make also and were a sweet treat to top the event off.
I highly recommend doing this for parties but also as a way to learn how to make good sushi. It was something that the adults and children could experience and enjoy together not to mention providing fresh and good quality party food at the same time.”
“I’d like to refer Peter’s Cooking with Magic for kids. For 2 hours my family had fun watching and taking part in making wafer cones with ham and cheese charred by blue torch and chocolate fondue with fruits and biscuit.
Kids were very excited trying themselves in roles of little chefs and guess what: parents didn’t have to clean up after all this fun finished.
Peter not only taught our kids new fun skills, but also brought everything needed for that to happen, all the ingredients and did the clean up afterwards, so we as parents had stress free time.

how much are the shows?
Each show is $250 for up to 10 kids. Every extra child is $25 (up to a maximum of 15 kids).
how long are the shows?
The magic shows usually last up to 2 hours. This time includes everything from preparation to clean up so you can sit back and enjoy!
how many kids can participate?
Our shows are best suited for groups of 10 to 15 kids. If there are less than 10 kids, a minimum charge of $250 applies.
What areas do you service?
We service the majority of Napier but are happy to discuss other options and locations if required. Please make sure you get in touch with us well in advance of your planned event.
